Well, I think its fair to say that the Rich Jerk does not have all that information, perhaps only the tip of the iceburg, which for some people is a good start.

You are absolutely…You can find a ton of information for free, but who has that kind of time.

I would much rather spend a measly $49.00 and have all that information within minutes.

WP forums has the least amount of BS of all the webmaster forums I visit. When I first started publishing I was very confused…until I found WP. The more you learn the easier it becomes to tell between rumours and fact.

Indeed. It is certainly difficult for the novice to separate the wheat from the chaff. It certainly takes time to find out what is worth your time.

For instance I learned WebMasterWorld is probably the worst possible place a novice can go. Sitepoint is better because people spreading nonsense usually get confronted pretty quickly.

I would also refer people to blogs like this one as you don’t really spread any misinformation.
