Web Publishing Blog Launched
I’m sitting here trying to think about something catchy to say for the first post of this blog. Instead I’m going to cut to the chase — I made this blog to help independent website publishers be successful.
Before I get started I want to send out a special thanks to Chris at Website Publisher and Brendon at Tailored Consulting. These guys have been a great inspiration and help to me (and hundreds, maybe thousands, of others) since I’ve started building websites for money.
There are plenty of other people who have been just as helpful and I’ll be sure to plug them in the future ![]()

Andrew,
Great to see you have started a blog. I’m sure it will make a great resource.
Cheers,
Chris

Getta getta woot woot, Andrew.
Good luck with the blog; though, if you don’t mind, might I suggest a few things?
Get rid of the admin login link on the right, the Powered by WordPress at the bottom, aswell as the valid xhtml link. Make the logo a link to the homepage, too.
In fact, it may be a good idea to use another, more colorful design, as this one’s a little too black and white.

Thanks for the suggestions James! I like clean themes but I’ll see what I can do to make it interesting.

There are plenty of ways to spice up a layout while still keeping it clean.

For some reason it cut that off. What I said was: I consider this layout to be fairly clean. You take away the gradients, and make the background solid, and it’s still quite good.
I’d suggest at least changing the color scheme of this site, aswell as possibly making decorative bullets as on my site above.
