I've had an Onmikey Evolution by Northgate at work now for a few years & really like it. Unfortunately, it seems to draw a lot of electricity & the IM folks think that is why I keep having 'Blue Screens of Death' and why the breaker in the PC keeps going out. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Also, I would like to know what the touchpad on the Adesso's feels like. I tried a MicroSoft ergonomic keyboard, but the bumpiness on the touchpad bothered me. It makes a big diff if the touchpad is smooth.

Thanks.

I've had similar problems with support from Adesso. I have two ergonomic keyboards, the second of which I bought because I thought the first one was wearing out. Come to find out the problem wasn't with the keyboards but rather with software. My old Adesso PCK-308B has fewer events of keys stopping working than the newest PCK-308W. Their Support Dept. gave me the run-around too and I haven't been able to resolve the problem. Any recommendations for a light-touch ergonomic? Microsoft keys are too stiff for me. Thanks.

Thank you Susan, I'm looking for a very durable keyboard and I have the habit of hitting the space bar a bit harder than the average user when I'm typing real fast. Back to the drawing board. I think I might trythe microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard, I'm just not really sure it will work with my mac

The Adesso ergonomic keyboard may produce less RSI, but in my experience, it is a poorly made keyboard that does not give value for the price. The right spacebar on the Adesso broke after only a couple of months of use. Obviously, I liked it, so I bought another one with similar results . . . a spring right space bar. I contacted Adesso and got the run around and a lot of foot dragging. I ended up having to send both keyboards to them as proof of what happened and at a cost of around $35 including packaging which was not reimbursed. It is my opinion that this keyboard uses substandard switches, but I never got any feedback regarding the keyboards I sent them.

I've been using the Adesso keyboard with built-in touchpad for over 5 years now, and I'll never use anything else (unless someone makes something like this, but better). I have arthritis and tendonitis, and since using this, I haven't need a single cortisone injection. I've been through three of them, and I only wish that they would make them more durable. I'd gladly pay twice as much for one that would last a lot longer, but that's the disposable world in which we live. It would also be nice if they had a higher end (say $300) one that had an adjustable split.

[...] The second thing is to make sure you have a good ergonomic keyboard. Last year I got rid of my old keyboard and standard Microsoft mouse and purchased an Adesso keyboard with a Glidepoint touchpad built in to the center. Besides having a more natural key layout, the touchpad in the center means I am not constantly shifting my hands around to use the mouse. The downside is this should take you several days to get used to, and you may even feel a productivity drop for weeks. [...]

Talking about ergonomic Keyboards, I wanna share my experience with ergonomic chairs, let me introduce myself first. Hi ya'll this is Peggy Ross, I wish to share with you my experience with one of the most ergonomic chairs i have come across in my entire life, you might wonder what makes me qualify for such a claim so here I am to tell you a little bit about my Sciatica problem and how these ergonomic chairs at http://www.ergo4me.com website helped me ease my pain. I have lived with Sciatica since 1980 I slipped and fell and ended up rupturing my L5/S1 disc (lumbar area). At the time, I went through physical therapy and the first of five surgeries. I could still work, but it was so very painful. In 1995 I woke up, and realized that I had lost 5 years of my life due to the continued use of the pain pills and was still in great pain. Luckily I ran into this company by the name ergoGENESIS based in Navasota, TEXAS and I was introduced to the wonderful concept of Ergonomic Chairs. Ever since I bought one of their chairs my lifes completely changed and now I can proudly say that I am able to work full-time from home while sitting on this amazingly comfortable ergonomic chair and still put in 10-11 hours per day and trust me prior to this that concept was like an untouchable dream for me LOL !! work that many hours with my Sciatica problem. So I wish to share this experience with ya'll and recommend to you these chairs, and ease your pain cause I know what it feels like since i have lived through it for quiet a few year. visit this URL http://www.ergo4me.com to learn more !! and help yourself..
