If you are going to go to the trouble of blog spamming make sure your account isn’t deleted

by Andrew

I was just deleting some blog spam when I decided to take a look at one of the links, something I never do. After clicking on one, ringtones-dir.com, I got this message: “Domain deleted
Reason: ABUSE - GB abuse code #1932.” Either their host is on the ball or they are sleeping!

  1. I just added a comments form to one of my sites (it’s my test-bed for such things) and I’ve been amazed by how much blog spam the site is attracting already(including some from ringtones-dir.com). The site really isn’t that popular, so how are these people finding these opportunities so quickly?
I felt compelled to take a look at their site and perhaps try and reason with them, wondering whether they put as much effort into providing valuable, interesting content on their site, and assuming that if they did they probably wouldn’t need to spam so much. Am I being naive, I wonder? Anyway, glad to see that they’re not benefiting from their handywork.
