Three damn good reasons you need to read my new book, "Real Blogging."

Forget all the sales letter hype and BS you've seen before -- I am going to cut straight to the chase.

Do the following goals describe things you want? Read my book and support WebPublishingBlog.com ; you will not be disappointed:

- Build more & higher quality backlinks for your web site.

- Raise you or your web site's profile & become a recognized credible expert in a specific market.

- Access to valuable contacts who can give you more backlinks & content than you imagined.

Sound a little too good to be true? There is a catch -- you have to be ready to put in a real effort. Some markets are unbelievably difficult to make progress in to.

I have spent the first half of this year writing this book. In Real Blogging I have outlined all of the "secret" tips and strategies that I have used with my own blogs. In this book I show you what to blog, how to blog, and most importantly -- how to get the traffic you need to make an impact!

Real Blogging's Table of Contents

Here is what you are getting, outlined chapter by chapter:

Chapter 1. Why Blog? -- basic overview of the benefits to having a blog; the big ones being backlinks, establishing yourself as an expert, money from advertising, affiliate programs, etc. (Send me an e-mail and I will personally give you a copy of this chapter.)

Chapter 2. Types of Blogs - why all blogs aren't created equal

Chapter 3. Setting Goals -- if you are having trouble getting things done, you want to read this.

Chapter 4. Choosing & Setting up your Blog - Basic newbie wordpress stuff.

Chapter 5. Blog SEO (Search Engine Optimization) - Intro to SEO, keyword research, specific wordpress plug-ins to help SEO your blog, content, & link building

Chapter 6. Branding and designing your blog - Make your blog unique without decreasing its usability.

Chapter 7. How to launch your blog - The five steps I use in launching any new blog or website; this does not include directory and search engine submissions. In my opinion, this is the best part of the book. If you are an experienced web developer and you learn nothing from this chapter I will give you your money back.

Chapter 8. Building Content - Five places to get fresh content plus misc details on writing.

Chapter 9. Making Money - Using Adsense section targeting to get rid of irrelevant ads, directly selling your own products & services.

Chapter 10. Maximizing your Readers with RSS - A few techniques to increase your subscriptions and how to use RSS to bring in backlinks

Chapter 11. Why E-Mail is still important - Why and how you should run an e-mail newsletter.

Chapter 12. Using Google Analytics to understand your blog - self explanatory.

Chapter 13. Fulfilling Goals - More motivational stuff to wrap up the book.

This is an eBook that comes out to 60 pages excluding the cover (huge font tricks not included.) Two sample pages are included below. The one on the left is pure text, while the one on the right demonstrates to use of screenshots to illustrate specific actions, which are used sparingly throughout the book.

I do run other blogs besides WebPublishingBlog.com. I don't consider myself a maniac blogger. In fact I started my first blog just a little over a year ago! Unlike WebPublishingBlog.com I have been using these blogs to build traffic for other content sites. I also have a few blogs that bring in money from affiliate programs and PPC ads. In other words I have a pretty good idea what works and what doesn't.

For several months I considered shelving this project altogether. The reason? Selling ebooks is often reserved for the realm of shady internet marketers. My credibility is going to take a little bit of a hit no matter how good this book is! In the end I realized that the benefit to readers would far outweigh any perceived negatives from the cynics who would rather whine all day than make money.

If you are only using the standard channels to internet marketing and SEO you are missing out big time! This includes typical techniques such as directory submissions, search engine submissions, press releases, and link exchange requests. Read this book, put the information to action and I guarantee you will see results!
