Domain name market for 2006
Good article on the domain industry in 2006 over at DNJournal –
“Whereas the former may begin to fetch multiples of 20-30 years revenue or even higher” (refering to quality traffic domain names) “those holding domains less suitable as advertising platforms will see their sales values shrink to 2-3 years revenue, or less, as more and more domain professionals wake up to the reality that it’s time for the domain industry to focus on traffic quality.”

Let’s be honest.
A lot of domainers have expanded their domain name portfolios like crazy in 2005 because, for the first time, they were able to create a sustainable stream of revenue with them (PPC landing pages).
Not all landing pages yield good results and none of them can help create a “community” of returning users.
As such, I feel 2006 will be the year millions of webmasters will create value added web portals / communities / interactive online services.
2006 will be -very- active for the domain scene!
